Wax Lamp

This project was an experiment in controlling wax as a tool for lighting and measuring time, using the material properties to manufacture a lamp that can contain wax, recycle it through a process of subtraction (melting) and deposition (rotation).

Using the flexible nature of wax producing a malleable lamp that can be a tool to measure time, and illuminate the table attached to it through a steel connection which eliminates the need for electricity cords, and producing an enigmatic object that can be used as a utility as well as an art piece in space.

Bringing back the mystic aesthetic of candles being used as an object to tell time and illuminate space, and as a toy for kids and adults as well.
